Google Adsense hacks for larger payouts!

What is Google Adsense?

Adsense is the best advertising placement service on the market. The ads come from google and can be placed anywhere on your site. it is free and earns website owners money based on clicks as well as impressions on the site.

How do I qualify for Adsense?

To qualify for Adsense, you must first have a site or blog that has at least 10 but about 20 posts at about 500 to 1000 words in length. Each post should be of good quality and be accompanied by at least 2 images and should be active for a period of no less than 6 months, (at least one post per month). Your site or blog should have the following:

  • A header
  • A Favicon
  • A search box
  • A body that contains content
With all of the above information in check, you should apply for Adsense and be accepted within the week.

How do you use Adsense to get the largest payback possible?

Now, Adsense though it is the best method of monetization on the web, it is the trickiest. The secret is, getting the ads to be extremely well targeted to your content and this will by extension target it best to your visitors.

Adsense will recommend a type and size of ad for you to place on your site, but it is in your best interest to do what is best for your site, this means to find the type of ad that would blend in best with your sites content. Yes, you want people to see the ad and click on it, but you do not want it to stick out like a sore thumb as this will drive away your readers. A great way to acheive this is with Link Ad units.

This type of ad, is extremely well targeted to content and as such it would also be to your readers and have the largest click through rate that any of the ads on the Adsense program. Because these ads are so well targeted to the content of the site it is serving visitors almost think they are clicking on just more content on your site for more information VS when they are met with a massive image and text ad that may or may not have any relevance to the content that they are reading.

How the internet works

How does the internet work? Are there actually place on this earth that the labyrinth of cables and wireless signals do not reach?

Let's take a look into how the internet works as we continue to be baffled by the list of  Countries that do not allow the internet.

The internet is made up of wireless connections, mobile devices and satellites. At the core of the internet however, are fiber optic cables that criss-cross across the vastness of oceans. Today they connect all continents apart from Antarctica and also include most island nations. Did you know that many developing countries for example Africa depend mostly on the mobile connections in order to access the internet. In further research we even found that satellites are in actuality the slowest means of accessing the internet. The satellite responsible for all the heavy lifting of the internet and all like processes is called the Iridium Satellite. This satellite coverage extends over the entire world which makes it a more viable choice when seeking to get connected even though it is not the most reliable in terms of speed.

The Ob3 Network recently launched four satellites that orbit a lot closer to the earth thereby increasing the dependability of the satellite source for communication. For the ones still suffering from  lack there of of the internet our friends at Google (whom else) have launched a project called Loon that promises to rectify the internet free zones. .....ahh Google, back at it again with the world domination projects. (Gotta love it).

But, in the rare occasion that the internet superhero' Google don't save the day, there are other technologies hat are seeking to make accessing the internet a lot easier for those without it that remain around the world. You can still escape the internet in under ground tunnels, in some trains, and subways and even caves. However, if there is even the slightest hint of a cell tower nearby this problem can easily be fixed.

There are place in the world that truly avoid the internet such as India, and can you blame them for saying no and choosing to remain isolated from the web of the world. Maybe one day more communities might partake in the digital detox from the internet and other like systems, but until then, lets enjoy the surf!

Places in the world without the internet

According to the Washington Post, there are over 4.4 billion people around the world without the internet. We know! We couldn't believe the figures either. I mean with the internet dominating our lives and all, we couldn't image how people even function without it.

Every aspect of our day to day lives involves the internet, we even carry it around in our pockets in the form of a phone. Sigh (sad truth). So who are these 4.4 billion people and where do they hail from. Let's have a look see shall we.

  1. Belarus
  2. Burma
  3. China
  4. Cuba
  5. Egypt
  6. Iran
  7. North Korea
  8. Saudi Arabia
  9. Syria
  10. Tunisia
  11. Turkmenistan
  12. Uzbekistan
  13. Vietnam
Now, we can all sit and speculate as to more than one reason why these non American regions of the world have opted for no participation if not very little in the saga, that is the internet (wink, wink). However, one has to wonder if this type of digital detox may be something that the world might need to partake in more often. After all the people in these countries especially China, do live a lot longer than the rest of the world. Hmmmm, I wonder if their internet lifestlye choices has anything to do with it? Check out our post on how the internet works and see how these countries are managing to evade the internet.

Passive Income......will it work if you live in the Caribbean? (PART 2)

So at this point, it's safe to say I have your attention. You have a job, but is open to more as do us all. How can you begin this journey of earning a living online?

Well, now that we have established that you have the tools for what it takes to join the international and even some local online earners. You have to ask yourself a few things,

  1. How bad do you want a passive income?
  2. How hard are you willing to work for it?
  3. Are you willing to dedicate the time needed for it to be launched properly to the point where you no longer have to manage it day in and day out?
Now, if the answer to these questions are all correct and only you will know if they are, then you are ready to begin the journey. When I say journey, I mean a full on journey, with ups and downs, requiring serious passionate dedication. Possible side effects, loss of sleep, loss of social life and paranoia. Surprise! Like everything in life, nothing worth having is easy and so is earning an income online, it is by no means as walk in the park. Well, maybe if the park is times square at the wee hours of the morning and all the electricity left New York at that moment....then maybe that park would be a perfect description of the type of journey you have before you.

But, as I mentioned before, if the answers to the above questions are correct and you want change and financial freedom as bad as you think, then this journey is for you and you will succeed at it.

Now that we have established how difficult this is going to be and how bad you want it. We can hold hands and proceed to part 3 of this series, where I show you many many many ways in which you can begin and maintain a very healthy on line company and by extension, passive income.

Stay Tuned!.....

Passive Income.....will it work if you live in the Caribbean? (PART 1)

Today this topic came to mind and I must say it is one that I have been researching for ever now. I reside in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago and time and time again the economy goes from good to bad to mediocre at best and it leaves one wondering if there is another way to make things work a bit easier. You know without having to depend on the ebb and flows of a third world economy. And the answer is yes! Now, finding the answer was the easy part, implementing the steps it takes to gain access to these life changing means of passive income not so easy.

Firstly, for all who haven't caught on to what I.m referring to when I say passive income, let me answer and tell you now.....you are looking at it. Yes, I am referring to the not so hidden secret of making a living online. As crazy ad it sounds it is very much a known and well, (very, extremely well) developed means of making a living, However, not so much in third world countries such as sweet T&T. Plus who knows if this catches on in Trinidad, more than likely it would be taxed severely by the government, lol....on a serious note though, that's not such a bad thing as well, the economy would benefit as it would be well stimulated.

That being said, lets get back on tract,.....how does one go about earning a passive income online? Is it a costly venture? What does one need in order to qualify? and where does one need apply? Let me answer these...

To answer the above questions in random order, one does not need any qualifications in order to start earning quite a handsome living via the internet. All that is required is well a good computer and even better internet connection, and away you go, you qualify and have all the necessary tools in order to earn a living online. Now if you are interested in the many ways in which you can begin earning a living online in the Caribbean, stay tuned to this blog for part 2.
